An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted south of Java, Indonesia at 19:50:23 GMT on Monday (03:50:23 Hong Kong Time on Tuesday), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 32.30 km, was initially determined to be at 9.1891 degrees south latitude and 107.8779 degrees east longitude.
