One of the world's rarest big cats has been recently captured on camera in northeast China.

An Amur leopard, also known as a Far Eastern leopard, was photographed by an infrared camera in a tree farm in Dongning County in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.

The Amur leopard is native to the southwestern Primorye region of Russia and Jilin Province of northeast China, and has been classified as critically endangered since 1996 by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
