Brunei Darussalam will once again participate in the global World Wide Fund for Nature's Earth Hour event on March 29, which is marked by millions of people worldwide switching off all non-essential lights for one hour, government sources said Thursday.

Five landmarks have been selected to signify the country's support for environment conservation.

Other activities include a night-walk around Bandar led by Minister of Development and Earth Hour Brunei supporters. "Earth Hour has always been more than just about lights off, it' s about people from all walks of life coming together throughout the year to show what they can do to protect the planet," said Andy Ridley, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of the global Earth Hour movement.
