A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit Hami City in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday Beijing Time.

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit Hami City in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of nine kilometers, was monitored at 43.1 degrees north latitude and 94.3 degrees east longitude.
