Three tigers kept at Badaling Wildlife Park in Beijing were seen attacking a man, who subsequently died upon reaching hospital on Thursday, Beijing Morning Post reported.

The photo shows three tigers are attacking a man, with a jeep beside them.

The local public security department and work safety bureau are currently investigating the incident, with results yet to be released.

A female visitor surnamed Liu said she and her family saw a man in a blue suit being attacked when they drove through the park's Bengal tiger zone on the afternoon of August 28. A jeep stood beside the man with its doors shut. After Liu called the park's emergency service, a rescue team arrived to disperse the tigers and transport the man to hospital.

A worker at the park said the victim was a roundsman and that it remained unclear why he had left the jeep as rules forbid anyone in dangerous animal zones opening vehicle windows or getting out.

It's not the first time that a tiger attack has happened in the park. A woman got her face torn up by a tiger in 2012, while a young man was killed by tigers after scaling the park fence in 2009.
