A broken pipeline has caused a crude oil leakage at an oil field belonging to PetroChina in Wuqi County, northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

The accident occurred yesterday and staff members of the oil field are currently trying to fix the pipeline.

It's been reported that this is the second time that there has been a crude oil leakage at the oil field.

Leaked crude oil can make farmland uncultivable and pollute the river and underground water. It also contains various poisonous materials which can cause fatal effects to humans.
