World's deadliest earthquakes since 1900s

Authorities in Nepal said Tuesday that at least 5,057 people died in the country after a massive earthquake struck the impoverished Himalayan nation. This is the strongest earthquake after 8.1-magnitude quake hit eastern Nepal and Bihar state in neighboring India killing 10,700 in 1934.

Let's have a look at the deadliest earthquakes throughout the history since 1900s.

August 11, 2012: Twin earthquakes with a magnitude 6.3 and 6.4 leave 306 dead and more than 3,000 injured near the Iranian city of Tabriz.
