Mu stressed that the mountainous province in southwest China is going to great lengths to foster five newly emerging industries: big data, healthcare, high-efficiency modern mountain agriculture, cultural tourism and new building materials.
"Through the forum, we share our experiences and draw from each other's lessons in ecological protection and sustainable development," said Li Zuoxun, vice mayor of Guiyang. "The forum has brought changes in development concepts for Guizhou."
Three reports – the Report on Global Sustainable Energy Competiveness, the Report of Recommendations for Creating a Green Financial System in China, and Suggestions for the Management Standards of National Parks – will also be issued during the event.
The Eco Forum Global Annual conference is an independent, nonprofit international organization established in 2009 as the only national forum for fostering sustainable development and eco-civilization in China.
