A pet pig that has been raised by a woman in Beijing became a hit on the Internet recently. A man took photos when he saw a woman walking her pet pig along Zhongguancun Road. The photos drew a great deal of attention from netizens after he posted them online.

"I saw a woman walking her pet pig in the the Zhongguancun West region yesterday morning. The pig was larger than a big dog. It had a black head, tail and back. The woman had to drag the pig to move it forward, maybe because it did not feel comfortable with a leash tied to its forelegs," said the man who posted the photos online.

In reality, this pet pig has been popular online for several years. Especially these past two years, many netizens have posted photos of it. "The pet pig was cute, docile and did not bite people," said some people who saw the pig before.

The pig's owner, surnamed Wang, is from the northeast region of China and lives near Zhongguancun Road. The pet pig, named Daidai, was a present from Wang's daughter. "It was a mini-pig at first, and now it has gotten big after I raised it for many years. It eats a lot of food every day and always acts cute to us," said Wang.
