Fishermen and volunteers clear up oil in Dalian

A volunteer collects used straws, which were thrown into the sea to absorb crude oil, at a polluted beach in Dalian City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, July 22, 2010. Over 1,000 fishing boats were mobilized recently to join the oil spill cleanup operation after the oil pipe explosion at Dalian Xingang Harbor. Meanwhile a lot of fishermen and volunteers also came to the shore on their own to clear up crude oil in an attempt to retrieve the beautiful beachscape of former days.
