China's National Meteorological Center forecast Wednesday torrential rains to soak already-flooded regions in parts of northern, northeastern and southern China over the next three days.

Rainstorms will sweep most parts of northeast China, northeastern Inner Mongolia, northeastern Hebei and southern Gansu over the coming three days, the center said in a statement on its website.

Parts of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi and Guangdong will also suffer heavy rainfalls.

Rain-triggered floods in China have left 1,072 people dead and 619 others missing this year.

Direct economic losses from the floods has risen to nearly 210 billion yuan (31 billion U.S. dollars), according to figures released Wednesday by the Office of State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters.

Meanwhile, the center forecast hot weather to continue to spread in areas along the Yangtze River and in southern China over the next three days, with temperatures between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius in some parts of Sichuan and between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius in parts of Hunan and Jiangxi.
