Hong Kong will participate in the world's largest book fair to be held in Frankfurt, Germany, from Oct. 14 to 18 in a bid to show the world what Hong Kong has achieved in its publishing and printing industries, the HKSAR government said Tuesday on its website.

Hong Kong will set up a 128-square-meter pavilion with three themed zones in the German city, namely the Publishing and Printing Center, the Cosmopolitan Culture zone introducing the city's unique cosmopolitan lifestyle and the Creative Culture zone, which offers a quick tour of some of the city's most acclaimed creative talent in fields ranging from literature and graphic novels to illustrations and animation.

Several senior HK officials are expected to attend a series of activities during the five-day period in Frankfurt to promote the publishing industry.

Started six decades ago, the Frankfurt Book Fair is now the largest of its kind in the world.
