Huang Xingguo

Major of Tianjin Municipality, Vice Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee

Huang Xingguo, ethnic Han and native of Xiangshan, Zhejiang Province, was born in October 1954. Huang undertook in-service postgraduate study with Tongji University and was awarded a Doctoral degree in management. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in September 1973 and started work in November 1972.

From 1989: Vice Secretary of the CPC Taizhou Municipal Committee, Zhejiang; Secretary of the CPC Taizhou Municipal Committee

From 1998: Vice Governor of Zhejiang; Standing Member of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee; Secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee

2003: Vice Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee; Executive Vice Mayor of Tianjin

Jun. 2007: Standing Member of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee; Executive Vice Mayor of Tianjin

Dec. 2007: Vice Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee; Acting Mayor of Tianjin

Jan. 2008: Vice Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee; Mayor of Tianjin

He was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee and is currently serving as alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee
