Publisher: New Star Press

Bookplate is a unique art which was earliest known in Germany, and date from the 15th century. Most bookplates are woodcut printed, and then watercolor and Chinese traditional painting were adopted in this art form. New Star Press combined pictures and bookplates together creatively, and selected one hundred precious pictures in the period of Republic of China to make Bookplate of Republic of China (bilingual edition).

These one hundred pictures sketched the Chinese history from 1911 to 1949. All important historical events and people are included in this book. Scenes of common people's daily life are also presented. Readers will understand this period of Chinese history directly according to these visual materials. Many of these pictures are revealed to the public for the first time. This series are both usable and collectable interview.
