Liu Xiang reached Beijing Tuesday night to attend the ongoing session of the 11th CPPCC.

Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang, once the world record holder, reached Beijing last night to attend this year's "Two Sessions". He had just finished a medical treatment in the United States.

Liu, 25, is one of the youngest among the 2,235 members of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the nation's top political advisory body.

He told journalists that he was particularly interested in issues concerning athletes.
