Top leaders join panel discussions with political advisors

Top Chinese leaders including top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao joined panel discussions on Tuesday with the country's political advisors who are meeting for their annual full session in Beijing.

The discussions of political advisors, or members of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), were joined by CPPCC National Committee Chairman Jia Qinglin, and other senior Communist Party of China (CPC) leaders Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang and He Guoqiang.

All the eight leaders are in the nine-member Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the top decision-making body of the ruling party.

Joining discussions of CPPCC members from China Democratic National Construction Association and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Wu encouraged them to enhance the friendly cooperation with the CPC, work for their common goals, and contribute more to building a moderately prosperous society.

Despite difficulties in judging the trend of economic development and making scientific decisions, China enjoys huge potentials for expanding domestic demand, readjusting economic structure, encouraging innovation and improving people's livelihood, he said.
