Over the past five years, deputies' ideas were reflected in a legal context, like the amendments to the Compulsory Education Law. Also, some of the motions have been included in China's legislation plan, like the Law of Primary Health Care and the Law of Social Security.

Kong Ping, head of NPC Motion Office, said, "We attach great importance to motions and suggestions. During the Tenth National People's Congress, we took full consideration of deputies' opinions in the legislation process. The motions were examined carefully but in a timely manner. As for suggestions, we stressed the relevant departments be responsible for implementation. Many of the motions and suggestions primarily concern people's lives."

After all procedural examinations, a motion can be submitted to a plenary session of the NPC for vote. Adoption requires a simple majority voting in favor.

Over the past five years, three thousand seven hundred and seventy two motions included in the country's legislation agenda.
