Xi Jinping elected vice-president

Xi Jinping was elected vice-president of China at the ongoing session of the 11th National People's Congress Saturday morning.

Xi, born in 1953, is one of the nine members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.
