Wang Yi appointed vice foreign minister

Former Chinese ambassador to Japan Wang Yi has been appointed vice foreign minister, according to a statement released on Thursday by the State Council.

The State Council also removed Fu Wenjuan from the post of vice minister of construction, Fan Younian from the post of chairman of the board of supervisors for key large-sized state-owned enterprises, and Ding Xianjue from the post of chairman of the board of supervisors for key state-owned financial organizations, according to the statement.
