Wang Sanyun appointed acting governor of Anhui

Wang Sanyun has been appointed vice and acting governor of east China's Anhui Province, according to the provincial legislative body.

Wang, born in 1952, was confirmed in the post at the 34th session of the standing committee of Anhui Provincial People's Congress on Sunday.

Wang, former deputy secretary of the provincial committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) of eastern Fujian Province, was named deputy Party chief of Anhui on Saturday, according to a decision by the CPC Central Committee.

Wang, of Han nationality, is a native of Shanxian county, Shandong Province. He joined the CPC in 1979.
