Chinese cabinet appoints senior officials

China's State Council, or the Cabinet, on Monday announced the appointment of six senior officials.

Peng Sen was appointed deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, replacing Wang Jinxiang.

Xu Deming was appointed vice Minister of Land and Resources, and head of the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, replacing Lu Xinshe.

Yin Li was appointed Vice Minister of Health, Hou Yunchun vice director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, and Huang Lanfa and Wang Zhimin deputy heads of the liaison office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong, replacing Zheng Kunsheng.

Meanwhile, the State Council ended Huang Wei's term as deputy Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Hou Yunchun's term as vice director of the Research Office of the State Council, and Wang Jun's term as head of the State Administration of Work Safety.
