Chinese President appoints new ambassadors

Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed four new ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.

Guan Mu was appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, replacing Zhang Jiuhuan.

Zhu Bangzao was appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Andorra as well, replacing Qiu Xiaoqi.

Yang Xiuping, female, was appointed ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and to the Republic of Maldives, replacing Ye Dabo.

Ye Dabo was appointed ambassador to the Union of Myanmar, replacing Guan Mu.
