China's State Council announced Tuesday the appointment of three senior officials.

Zhang Pimin was appointed deputy director of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, replacing Lei Yuanliang.

Li Yang was appointed deputy director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, replacing Chen Jiagui, and Yi Gang was appointed director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchanges, replacing Hu Xiaolian.

The Cabinet also ended Fan Xiaojian's term as vice agricultural minister, and Xie Sizhong's term as chairman of the Board of Supervisors for Key Large-Sized State-Owned Enterprises.
