Hu appoints new ambassadors

Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed five new ambassadors in line with a decision adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.

Hu Xiaodi was appointed permanent representative and ambassador to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Vienna, replacing Tang Guoqiang.

Tang Guoqiang was appointed ambassador to Norway, replacing Gao Jian.

Huang Xing was appointed ambassador to Finland, replacing Ma Keqing.

Yuan Nansheng was appointed ambassador to Surinam, replacing Su Ge.

Su Ge was appointed ambassador to Iceland, replacing Zhang Keyuan.
