China to Put Narcotics Under Real-Time Monitor
Adjust font size:

China plans to adopt a complete real-time monitor on narcotics and first-grade psychopharmacy, sources with the Office of the State Council Leading Group on Product Quality and Food Safety said Friday.

By the end of this year, the real-time monitor will be placed on the manufacturing, stocking, selling and storing of narcotics and first-grade psychopharmacy nationwide.

Meanwhile, the authorities will carry out an inspection on the process and prescriptions of large-volume injections, while preparing for dispatching supervisors to manufacturers of large-volume injections and special drugs.

Moreover, the authorities will continue monitoring domestic pharmaceutical factories on the implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), an international regulation requiring pharmaceutical and biotech firms to ensure their products meet specifications for identity, strength, quality and purity.
