NPC briefs HK, Macao deputies on country's development

Hong Kong and Macao deputies to the 11th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, were here on Saturday and Sunday briefed about the country's economic and social development as well as the people's congress system.

Bi Jingquan, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Liao Xiaojun, Vice Minister of Finance and Tian Chengping, Minister of Labor and Social Security delivered reports to deputies of the two special autonomous regions so as to prepare them for the upcoming plenary session in early March.

Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the NPC Standing Committee Sheng Huaren briefed the deputies major work of the 10th NPC. Leaders of various NPC committees also gave lectures about the Constitution and China's people's congress system.
