China to raise tax rebate for machinery products

China will increase tax rebate rate for some machinery products as of Jan. 1, 2009, in a bid to alleviate cost burdens on exporters, said Financial Ministry and State Administration of Taxation on Monday.

Export tax rebate rate for industrial robot and Global Positioning System (GPS) for aviation usage will be increased to 17 percent from 13 percent and 14 percent, respectively.
