PLA issues regulations on officer selection

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) recently issued regulations to improve the selection of army officers.

The selection process will be composed of four steps, including choosing reserve cadres, candidate nomination, listening to people's opinions and decision by party committees, according to the regulations.

During the process of choosing reserve cadres, the name list should be based on people's recommendations, according to the regulations.
