Macao Jobless Rate Drops

Macao saw a 3.2 percent unemployment rate in the statistic term from December to February, a drop of 0.2 percent over the previous period from November to January, according to official statistics issued Wednesday.

The figures from the government-run Statistics and Census Service showed that the number of jobless residents seeking their first job was around 800, or 8.4 percent of the unemployed population, from December to February, according to the statistics.

Macao's total labor force was estimated at 295,000 in the period, the figures showed.

The special administrative region has a population of over 500, 800.
