Donald Tsang to attend HK-Guangdong conference

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Chief Executive Donald Tsang will lead a delegation to attend the 11th Plenary of the Hong Kong-Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference in Guangzhou on August 5, a government press release said on Wednesday.

Tsang will leave for Guangzhou on August 4, the press release from the Information Services Department of HKSAR government said, adding that Tsang and Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua will preside over the meeting and Tsang will also visit Guangzhou Science City.

In the delegation are other senior officials from HKSAR, including Chief Secretary for Administration Henry Tang. They will return to Hong Kong on August 5.

During their absence, Secretary for Justice Wong Yan Lung will be Acting Chief Executive while Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee will be the Acting Chief Secretary for Administration, the press release said.
