Guangzhou to launch City Management Open Day
Adjust font size:

The southern Chinese city of Guangzhou will designate one day a month as City Management Open Day, starting next month, Xinhua news agency reports.

The second Wednesday of each month will offer a chance for local citizens to visit Guangzhou's city management monitor and control center, follow a patrol team to carry out a daily inspection on the streets, and assist with promotions on the city's administrative affairs.

The move hopes to give citizens a basic idea of city management and an opportunity to suggest improvements in the government's work, a municipal official said.
