CPC begins three-day plenary session

The 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) began its second plenary session yesterday to discuss the restructuring of government departments and candidates for State leaders.

The election of State leaders, including the president, the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the premier as well as restructuring of State Council departments will be on the agenda for next week's National People's Congress (NPC) annual session.

The CPC Central Committee began the three-day meeting to discuss the issues in advance.
