Vice President Zeng Meets with Lithuanian FM

Vice President Zeng Qinghong met in Beijing Thursday with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis.

 

Zeng said the relations between China and Lithuania are developing smoothly with frequent high-level contacts and fruitful cooperation in economic and cultural sectors.

 

"China values its relations with Lithuania, respects the development mode chosen by its people and sincerely hopes Lithuania makes further progress in its social and economic development," Zeng said.

 

He expressed the Chinese government's appreciation to the Lithuanian government for its adherence to the one-China policy.

 

Valionis said his government would abide by the one-China policy and would continue to enhance friendly cooperation with China.

 

Valionis arrived in Beijing on Wednesday at the invitation of Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing.
