US Senate Delegation, China's NPC to Hold Talks
Adjust font size:

A delegation of the US Senate will come to China on August 7 to hold the third meeting with the National People's Congress (NPC), China's legislative body, sources with the NPC Standing Committee said in Beijing Wednesday.

The US delegation, invited by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, will be led by Ted Stevens, president pro tempore of the US Senate, and Senator Daniel K. Inouye.

The NPC and the US Senate set up a regular meeting mechanism in 2004 and have held two rounds of meetings in Beijing and Washington D.C. respectively.
