Visiting Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan exchanged views on Wednesday with Hungarian Minister of Economy and Transport Koka Janos on expanding and deepening bilateral economic and technological cooperation.

At a meeting with Koka, Zeng hailed the smooth and fast economic and technological cooperation between the two countries in recent years, and said that Hungary has become an important economic and trading partner of China in Central-Eastern Europe.

He added that China is willing to further expand the fields of cooperation and lift the levels of cooperation with Hungary, to promote an all-around cooperation between the two countries.

The vice premier said that the two sides should innovate on cooperation forms, improve trade structure and seek large cooperation projects.

The Chinese government would continue to encourage Chinese companies to invest in Hungary, and welcome more Hungarian companies to China, Zeng said.

Koka said that consolidating the cooperation with China is on the top agenda of Hungary's economic cooperation with foreign countries.

Hungary is willing to explore new channels of cooperation with China in various fields, Koka said. He also expressed his wish that more Chinese would invest and establish factories in Hungary.

Zeng also inspected the public construction works of Budapest in the afternoon.
