China, S Korea to Promote Judicial Cooperation
Adjust font size:

China hopes to sign an agreement with South Korea on judicial cooperation, senior Party leader Luo Gan said in Beijing Wednesday during a meeting with Lee Yong-hun, Chief Justice of the South Korean Supreme Court.

"China and South Korea should learn from each other and push forward the relationship between the supreme courts of the two countries," said Luo, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.

Luo said China and South Korea have promoted political, economic and cultural cooperation since the two countries forged diplomatic ties in 1992, and have consulted each other on international affairs.

He hoped that Lee's China tour would further relations between the two countries.

Lee said he hopes the two legislative sectors will promote exchanges and learn from each other.
