Canadian, Chinese Finance Ministers Meet in Beijing
Adjust font size:

Canadian finance minister Jim Flaherty met with the Chinese finance minister Jin Renqing Friday in Beijing.

Flaherty said that China and Canada are facing many opportunities and both governments are working together to take these opportunities. Canada has become an important energy provider and a center for science technology. China is an economic giant. So the need for cooperation between China and Canada is obvious.

He called for encouraging Canadian financial organizations to get to know the Chinese market, noting this will promote trade and create the right conditions in which both countries can cooperate with each other in the fields of education and research.
