Togolese President Reiterates Support for One-China Policy

Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe said in Lome on Thursday that his country will continue to adhere to the one-China policy and support China's peaceful reunification.

 

While receiving credentials from new Chinese ambassador Yang Min, Faure also spoke highly of the friendship between the two countries, describing China as Togo's most honest, reliable and trustworthy friend.

 

Yang congratulated Togo on its achievements in safeguarding its sovereignty and independence, maintaining its political stability, and developing its national economy.
