China, Vietnam Face Common Opportunities, Challenges

China and Vietnam face many common opportunities and challenges, agreed two senior officials with the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on Monday.

 

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Ho Duc Viet, member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee, made the remarks during their meeting on Monday.

 

It is in the interests of both sides and conducive to regional peace and stability to further strengthen friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, Wang and Ho agreed.

 

The two also briefed each other on party building.

 

Ho, also head of the Organization Department of CPV Central Committee, arrived in Beijing on Sunday for a week-long visit to China at the invitation of the CPC.
