Ecuadorian President Hopes to Deepen Economic Ties with China
Adjust font size:

Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa said Tuesday that Quito attaches great importance to developing relations with China and hopes to deepen and expand bilateral economic and trade ties.

Correa made the remarks when the new Chinese ambassador to Ecuador Cai Runguo tendered his credentials. Correa expressed admiration of China's history and culture and of its remarkable achievements in social and economic construction.

He hoped Ecuador and China will broaden economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, and that more Chinese entrepreneurs will come here to invest.

Cai said bilateral relations have made continuous progress since the two countries established diplomatic ties, witnessing not only close economic cooperation, but also mutual respect and support in international issues.

China is willing to contribute more to the long-term, stable and healthy development of the friendly and cooperative relationship with Ecuador, Cai said.
