DM Meets Serbian Chief of General Staff

Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan on Tuesday met with Serbian Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces Zdravko Ponos in Beijing.

 

Cao said the Chinese and Serbian people enjoyed traditional friendship and China is willing to join hands with Serbia to continuously explore the potential for cooperation between the two countries and the two armed forces.

 

Cao, who is also vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and state councilor, expressed his appreciation for Serbia's adherence to the one-China policy.

 

Ponos said continuous development of bilateral friendly relations is a set policy for Serbia, which is eager to further deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

 

Also on Tuesday, Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Liang Guanglie held talks with Ponos.

 

Ponos started his six-day China visit on Monday, as Liang's guest.
