New Ambassador Presents Credentials to Sudan President

Chinese new ambassador to Sudan, Li Chengwen, presented on Tuesday his credentials to Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir.

 

During their talks, Li conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes of President Hu Jintao to al-Bashir, as well as friendly feelings of the Chinese government and the Chinese people for the Sudanese government and the Sudanese people.

 

Li noted that he would do his best to consolidate and develop the friendly cooperation relations between China and Sudan.

 

Al-Bashir welcomed the appointment of Li as the Chinese ambassador to Sudan, asking Li to convey his brotherly cordial greetings to President Hu.

 

Al-Bashir said he believed that the relations between Sudan and China would continuously develop and the cooperation between them would become more close.

 

Li arrived in Khartoum on June 25.
