Bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields have been expanding since the two countries established diplomatic ties 10 years ago, and mutual understanding and the friendship between the two peoples have also been increased, Wen said in his message.

The Chinese government highly values and will continue to develop its friendly relations and cooperation with the Cook Islands on the basis of mutual respect and equality, he said.

China is ready to work together with the Cook Islands to deepen their cooperation and push forward the development of bilateral ties, Wen said.

In his message, Marurai said his country and China have enjoyed a close and fruitful relationship.

The Cook Island is ready to join efforts with China to further promote the friendship between the two peoples, he said.
