Senior Chinese Communist Party leader He Yong met on Thursday with a delegation from the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), led by Abdallah Alfranji, member of Fatah Central Committee and director-general of Fatah International Department.

He, deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said the party exchanges between the CPC and Fatah have helped to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries.

He hopes Alfranji's current visit could enhance friendly cooperation between the two parties as well as the two countries.

Alfranji said Fatah spoke highly of the CPC's 17th national congress and its positive results, and would like to learn about China's successful experience and promote the development of bilateral ties through party exchanges.

Earlier on Thursday, Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met with the delegation.
