Adjust font size:

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on Wednesday met in Beijing with Albanian Deputy Foreign Minister Anton Gurakuqi.

Yang and Gurakuqi hailed progress in China-Albania relations and agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and collaboration in multilateral organizations, in an effort to boost bilateral relations to a new level.

Gurakuqi reiterated Albania's adherence to the one-China policy and expressed opposition to "Taiwan independence" and the Taiwan authority's attempts at "referendum on UN membership in the name of Taiwan."

The officials also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
