Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan will pay official visits to Britain and Japan from Feb. 16 at the invitation of the governments of the two countries, announced Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao in Beijing Friday.

Tang, as Chinese President Hu Jintao's special envoy, will also visit the Republic of Korea (ROK) to attend the inauguration ceremony of ROK President Lee Myung-bak scheduled on Feb. 25, Liu told a regular press conference.
