Adjust font size:

Deepening strategic cooperation with China is a priority in Kazakhstan's foreign policy, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said Wednesday.

Nazarbayev said at a meeting of ambassadors that deepening Kazakhstan's strategic partnership with China and strengthening its alliance with Russia are his country's long-binding priorities in foreign policy.

Kazakhstan and China, which forged a strategic partnership in 2005, are currently in all-round active dialogue, the president said.

With trade volumes increasing yearly, the two countries have made remarkable results in bilateral cooperation, he said.

China is the third biggest export destination for Kazakhstan and the second biggest exporter for Kazakhstan from January to September of this year, according to Kazakh official figures.
