Senior CPC official meets with Indian guests

A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met with a delegation from the National Democratic Alliance of India in Beijing on Tuesday, vowing to promote relations between the two parties.

The CPC is willing to enhance friendly relations and cooperation with all political parties of India, including the Indian People's Party on the basis of equality, mutual respect and non-interference in each other's internal affairs, so as to promote the Sino-Indian relations, said Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Sri Bal Apte, vice president of the Indian People's Party, echoed Wang as saying that as the two countries are sharing increasing common interest, the party-to-party friendly exchanges will promote the mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries, and the Indian side will continue to endeavor in this regard.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
