Senior UN official kidnapped in Pakistan

A senior United Nations official has been kidnapped in southwestern Pakistan on Monday, private TV channel Geo reported.

The head of UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Balochistan province was abducted and his driver shot dead, said the report.

The incident took place in Chaman Housing Scheme in Quetta, capital city of Balochistan province when the official left home for office, according to the Geo.
