Visiting U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Saturday hoped the United States and China would make joint efforts in establishing deeper and closer cooperative relations in the next 30 years.

She said the United States and China have realized the importance of bilateral cooperation, which is full of opportunities.

"The two sides should cooperate to achieve win-win results, in particular to jointly cope with the international financial crisis, so as to help the world economy to recover swiftly from recession," she said.

Dai said with 30 years of concerted efforts by both sides, the bilateral relationship has made considerable progress. He hoped the bilateral ties could achieve even greater and better growth in the next 30 years.

He said all countries, regardless of the similarities and differences in social system, should respect each other mutually, treat each other equally and seek mutually beneficial cooperation for peaceful coexistence and common development.

Addressing the common challenges faced by the two countries, Dai called upon China and the United States to enhance cooperation and deal with various challenges together.

"We appreciated the importance that the Obama administration puts on the Sino-U.S. ties," said Dai, adding the two countries have broad prospects for cooperation.

Clinton and Dai also exchanged views on the Korean Peninsular nuclear issue.
